About Me

Hello! I'm Laura Anne, a professional home declutterer and organiser based in Chelmsford, Essex.

Having spent many years working as a nanny in private households, I learnt first hand how much a well organised home supports a family to thrive in their daily lives; for children and adults alike. That’s where I learnt the importance of creating spaces in a home that works for the people in it. Every family’s needs are different, and the home should reflect that.

I help people take back control of their spaces — whether it's a wardrobe that's overflowing, a kitchen that doesn't function the way you need, or a room that just feels overwhelming.

I work alongside you at every step, offering guidance and support while you make the decisions about what stays and what goes. No judgement, just practical help to create a home that works for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Benefits of an Organised Home

What are the benefits of having an organised home?

An organised home can make day-to-day life run more smoothly, reduces stress, and frees up mental energy. Often people find that when your space is clutter-free, it becomes easier to focus on what matters most. It can also be financially beneficial as you do not overspend on items you already have.

About the Service

What is a professional declutterer and organiser?

A professional declutterer and organiser works with you to reduce your belongings and organise what remains in a way that suits your lifestyle. It is a fully collaborative process — you make all the final decisions on what stays and what goes.

What is involved in a declutter and organisation package?

Each package starts with a free 30-minute home visit to assess the space and understand what you are looking for. A session date is then arranged. On the day, I arrive with all the necessary kit, work through the decluttering and organisation with you, and ensure all waste is clearly labelled before leaving. There are times when you may choose to stay or step away but you should always be in the property throughout the process. Donations can also be collected or taken away, if arranged in advance.

Will I have to get rid of things I want to keep?

No. It is your home and your belongings — you decide what stays and what goes. Guidance and support will be offered throughout, but no decisions are ever made on your behalf.

Will I need to be present during the session?

Yes. You will need to be available during the session, particularly during the decluttering phase, to make decisions on your items.

Will the spaces be cleaned as part of the service?

No. Decluttering and organisation is a separate service to cleaning. Light surface tidying may occur, but any deep cleaning should be arranged independently.

Will I need to purchase additional storage?

Not always. The aim is to work with what you already have. If new storage would be beneficial, it will be discussed and agreed with you before anything is purchased. This decision is often decided in the initial visit.

Donations & Disposal

Can you donate and dispose of unwanted items on my behalf?

Yes, donations can be dropped off on your behalf for an additional charge of £10. Please note:

  • Technology and electrical items cannot be donated or disposed of through this service, though advice on where to take them can be provided.
  • Items unsuitable for donation will need to be disposed of by the client.
  • Nothing will be removed from the property without your confirmation on the day.

Practical Information

What happens at the initial consultation?

A free 30-minute visit to your home where the space is reviewed and a short document is completed together to outline your goals and the type of support you are looking for.

How long will a session take?

This varies depending on the size and complexity of the space and will be discussed at the initial consultation. As a guide, most rooms take a minimum of three hours.

How far do you travel?

Travel within 20 miles of Chelmsford is included in the price. Beyond this, a charge of £0.55 per mile applies and will be agreed in advance.

What payment methods do you accept?

Payment details will be confirmed at the time of booking. Full payment terms are set out in the Terms and Conditions.
